We have been hearing about current radio stations offering broadcasts in High definition, and this will also allow more channels and better quality. This traditional radios attempt to combat the move to satellite radio by consumers. So now we will be asked to invest in new stereo systems, and car radios to benefit from these digital signals. To find some great information on the new Digital Radio and the equipment you will need you check it out at Radio Guide.
The new radios are being called Digital Audio Broadcasting or DAB. These new radios are able to receive the new digital signals that will be sent from radio stations. They will offer better sound quality, easier to find stations, and more stations. You will see an expansion in niche radio programming similar to what is offered in satellite radio. If this catches on, satellite providers such as Sirius may regret the $500 million investment they made for the ”King of All Media” Howard Stern. The same rules of the FCC will still apply so those looking for the unedited radio of Stern or the O & A show, will still need to subscribe to their satellite radios. For the majority of Americans, they will probably wait for the equipment to come down, and more competitors come into the marketplace to increase competition.

In an attempt to curb some of the CPC click costs some advertisers are turning to sites such as Earn By A Click. This site enables advertisers to list their websites, or items for sale. IN exchange, members will click on the links, and earn anywhere between .01 to .25 per click. This way the advertisers can dictate what they are willing to pay for a click, and the users have to view their site for a minimum of 15 Seconds.
This is a great supplement to traditional search and CPC advertising. Earn by a Click is currently running a special until November 30,2006 in that they are doubing all advertisers purchases. Check out the site, and see for yourself what they have to offer.

I have been reading various articles on how to optimize your blog for search engines. I have picked up some good tips like, use the Permalink function to include the title and category of your blog, rather than the de-facto numbering that WordPress uses. This makes good sense from a search engine standpoint. There are also a ton of plug ins that are available for WordPress blogs and other, but you should be somewhat technically savvy to use them, and apply them correctly.

In an effort to mointor employees that travel in company owned vehicles more companies are turning to GPS tracking systems. While employees may feel they are being watched by big brother, I think it is a great way to reduce wasted time and track valuable assests that a company has on the road.
There a is a very nice demo available at Brick House Secruity which you can play with here. You can actually watch the dots moving on the map to give you a more realistic view of what is offered. With the system you can monitor a single vehicle or a fleet of trucks. You can monitor location, direction they are traveling, and even the speed at which they are traveling. You can set up alerts if a vehicle is traveling over a certain required speed. And they even have address alerts to let you know when a truck has arrived at a location.
They can even take this technology and make it avaiable to deploy Teen Tracking. How nice would it would be to able to know where your kids are at all times. Most of the devices require that they be hard wired into the vehicle, which makes for better security, and less chance of the device being manipulted. I personally think this is great to have avaiable for kids, not to reduce the trust factor but build on it and to ultimately protect your children. I have always said that I am not as much concerned with what my children are doing or where they are going. I would hope that we have instilled the correct values to decide when something is right or wrong. I am worried about the lunatics out there that may cross paths with my family, and bring them harm.

Companies today rely on digital libraries to get stock images for their print and online campaigns. I have noticed this on a few sites, and while it makes sense, it does seem odd that they would be able to know how often and where an image may appear. Such an occurrence happened to competing banks. Bank of America and Citiigroup both were running ads about their refinance and mortgage division.
The cost of obtaining exclusive images can be quite expensive, considering the cost of location and people can add up to over $10K. This is why more and more companies are relying on these digital libraries where the stock images can be had for as little as a $1.With approx. billions of websites online, there is certainly a lot of duplication. Speed is essential to gettin campaigns online and using this feature cuts their production time by days.

In my spare time I dabble in various house improvement projects. My son came to me the other day and wanted a barn to where he could store his toy horses. HMMM! Well it sounded challenging, and I figurered this would give me a good chance to practice my woodworking skills, and give me a chance to use my new saw ad router. So I set out to do a little reserch for plans and hints on using my router. Found the plans with no problem, because I guess there is a lot of toy barn building going on. Foud various sites on the use and proper technique of using my router and different router tips. I was just recenlty made aware of newer site where they have a great deal of router information and project ideas and hints on using amana router bits. They publish articles on a regular basis to help those hand men at home. Give them a try at JustWoodrouters.com and check back often to see what tips they are offering.

Ed Bradley the award winning jounalist at 60 minutes at age 65. He was battling leukimia, and was hospitalized at Mt Sinai in New York. Mr. Bradley was one of the few hard nosed reported on 60 minutes that I cared to watch. He knew when to ask the tough questions, but was gracious enough to give the person their space. He will surely be missed not only at 60 minutes, but in the journlist world as well.
